Best Self Tanner for Face, Neck, and Decollete5
Long time user of self-tanners (19+ years) and have experimented with lots of self-tanners formulated for the face. I have come across a few that I liked but because they clogged my pores, settled into blemishes on my faces or simply did not have staying power on my face I continued to experiment.

Which brought me to Clarins Intense Bronze Self Tanning. And my search ends here with this product. Pros: The scent of this product is so light you don't even really smell it, the color is gorgeous once applied and becomes deeper over a period a few short hours. Because the formula is very watery (don't even let this fool you about how the color will look) it dries on your skin in about 4-5 minutes. No stickiness.

Once the color dries it leaves my skin looking evenly tanned, like I had been laying on the beach in the Cayman Islands and my skin is dark golden. The best part is that when you apply additional layers of this sunless tanner your skin not only gets a deeper brown but it 'glows'.

The only CON I would like to mention is that you really really must take care to keep your hands/fingers washed after applying this. To altogether avoid this step I simply wear disposable vinyl gloves (I buy mine from Home Depot in the paint section. A box of 100 for $7.) In addition I apply the Self Tanner to a Cotton Square ( Cotton Balls are too fibery for me) and apply an even coat over my face, neck and decollete.

And I agree with the other reviewer about the price. It's a little high but you don't really need much on your skin and it would probably last you about a good year and a half before you had to buy more.

Excellent, but not for the faint of heart!5
If you're looking for a mistake-proof, quick drying self tanner that doesn't stink, this is it! BUT this is DARK! Even the fairest of complexions will look like they've spent 10 days on a tropical beach.

Good Points:

Not orange or yellow. (Great for us light olive skin gals or those of us with yellow undertones!!!) It's a rich, deep 'bronze' tan that will develop.

Bad Points:

Price. BUT for the tiny amount that is used for each application, one bottle should last 2-3 summers!

Bronze Goddess5
I've tried all of the department store self tanners and a few of the mass market ones, and I've always wanted to find one that is a deep, but believable color. Other "deep" color formulas have always made me look orange, despite the fact that I have a golden color to my skin already. This formula hit the bull's eye. It gives you a gorgeous bronze color like you've been in the Bahamas for 2 weeks, but has no icky smell. The watery formula is a bit more challenging to work with than a traditional lotion, but other than that its a dream! I used a cotton ball, but that absorbed a lot of product, so I'll be switching to the Shiseido cotton squares. I love this so much I want to put it all over my body. I recommend putting it on before bed so you can wash off the tint in the morning after the color has developed, so it looks a little more natural. Another feature that I love about this formula is that it contains both DHA and erythrulose, so you get the golden color of DHA, but also the believable and longer wear of erythrulose.
